Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County
Non-profit social services organizations have been the lifeline for so many families during the pandemic and particularly in Texas following the devastating effects of the freeze there. One is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County serving the Fort Worth area which we are proud to be supporting. Access to basic needs for these families is just one element of the Club’s services. A myriad of programs to augment childrens’ performance in the classroom and their overall health and well-being is also central. The Prevention programs offer evidence-based curriculum to Club members and community settings throughout the year to equip children and teens to engage in positive behaviors. The Prevention team includes social workers and health educators. The Comin’ Up Gang Intervention program is designed to positively impact the lives of at-risk and gang-involved youth by providing needs-based services and activities to reduce the level of gang violence in partnership with the city of Fort Worth.
